Aluminum Alloy Material Selection — Standard & Custom Grades

Material quality defines mechanical stability, heat dissipation, weather resistance and service life of outdoor lighting die-cast housings.

Overview

Strict Sourcing, Graded Alloys

At J&T Die-casting we adopt strict standardized aluminum alloy sourcing and grading systems. We use mainstream industry-grade die-casting alloys for mass production, while providing fully customized material selection services to meet each client's project specifications, environmental requirements and technical standards.

Standard Grades

Three Mature Alloys for Mass Production

General-purpose · Mass production

ADC12

ADC12 is the most widely adopted general-purpose die-casting alloy in the global lighting industry. It features excellent fluidity, superior mold-filling performance and high dimensional stability during high-pressure die casting. With balanced mechanical strength, good surface finishing compatibility and stable heat dissipation capacity, ADC12 perfectly suits mass production of street lights, flood lights, garden lights and conventional outdoor lighting enclosures.

North American standard · High strength

A380

Recognized as a premium North American standard alloy, A380 offers higher tensile strength and structural rigidity compared with conventional grades. It presents outstanding stability after CNC machining, drilling and assembly processing — ideal for medium-to-large lighting housings requiring strict structural precision, high load-bearing performance and long-term mechanical reliability.

British standard · High corrosion resistance

LM6

LM6 is a high-corrosion-resistant British-standard die-casting alloy. It provides exceptional anti-oxidation performance and superior weatherability, with excellent castability for complex structural designs. Its strong resistance against humidity, salt spray and industrial pollution makes it the preferred grade for coastal, marine and high-corrosion environment lighting.

Customization

Custom Alloy Selection for Special Projects

Beyond standard grades, J&T supports fully customized aluminum alloy formulation and grade selection. For projects requiring enhanced salt spray resistance, extreme weather durability, upgraded thermal conductivity or stricter mechanical parameters, we adjust raw material composition and select specialized grades to match custom certifications, environmental grades (C4VH / C5VH) and long-lifespan project standards.

Whether you need low-weight optimization, high-strength structural upgrades or custom anti-corrosion configurations, we provide professional material matching reports and stable batch supply.

Composition Control

All incoming aluminum ingots are inspected for chemical composition, hardness and metallurgical uniformity before production.

Batch Consistency

Every batch keeps stable surface quality, structural performance, heat dissipation efficiency and anti-corrosion capability.

ISO 9001 Quality Management

Our full production workflow follows ISO 9001-certified quality-management procedures, covering raw-material inspection, manufacturing and final output.

Documentation

Material matching reports, spectrometer certificates and tensile data supplied with first articles and mass production.
